We had a lovely week’s stay at Church Farm Cottage. It has been so tastefully and thoughtfully set up for a staycation by the sea. We found it easy to get to the beach via a beautiful cliff top walk (which even our children enjoyed!), “stumbling distance” to the charming local pub, and we took advantage of the delicious, absolutely tiny fish shop in the village. Barnie and Cheryl were warm and encouraging throughout, they gave me lots of recommendations of things to do and places to visit, but in the end we spent our happy days on the beach at Horsey and Happisburgh, then enjoying wine on the terrace after the children were in bed! Thank you both, we well definitely be back in future!

This is a perfectly situated cottage in the countryside near a beautiful uncrowded beach with lots of things to do in the area - swimming, gardens to visit, Happisburgh lighthouse, boating, walking, donuts, fish and chips, nice pubs and so much more. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable and it was very handy to have a small enclosed garden for our dog. We would definitely come back again.

This is such an idyllic cottage in a sweet little village. There was everything we needed in the cottage and they made it feel like a home away from home. The hosts were very quick at responding to any queries we had and very clearly care about their guests experience. We would highly recommend staying here.

Myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quaint and character filled Church farm cottage.
It’s in a lovely location with only a 15 min’ walk to the beach.
Everywhere was beautifully clean and had everything we could need to accommodate our family. Especially our 2 year old with all we could have required for her (high chair, travel cot, cutlery, even toys) was stocked very well.

Thank you Church farm cottage for wonderful memories.
We hope to visit again.

A five minute walk up the farm track to the cliffs was a big highlight for the whole family and our dog. Take a right and walk to the Lighthouse.

Most days we saw the odd seal bobbing its head above the water. A magical location. House clean and living room, kitchen and bedrooms well thought out.

Lovely cottage and thoughtful hosts. Comfy beds, lots of hot water, very peaceful. You can walk to a nice beach, there is a playing field a couple of minutes away that is great for kids. Sadly the pub was shut, but there’s a Post Office in the village for basics. A great stay, thank you

We had a lovely time. The cottage is stylish and homely and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are super comfy and everything was super clean. We enjoyed some of the recommendations and felt very welcome in the cottage. We loved Happisburgh beach which was an easy walk from the cottage. We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Church Farm Cottage with our 2 young children for 5 nights and it is just wonderful! The cottage itself is stunning, with everything you need for a break away. The location is peaceful but perfect being away from all the hustle and bustle. The owner was so helpful, we would definitely stay again.

Had the most amazing weekend at the cottage. Brilliant facilities for both kids and adults. Lovely area, lots to do. Beaches were stunning and we saw the seals at Horsey Bay. Decor was very tasteful. Overall a very relaxing enjoyable stay. Will come again!! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful week in a cold February at the thatched Church Farm Cottage. Although appearing small from the outside the property would have been quite spacious and cosy enough for 8 as advertised. (Remember the two bathrooms are en-suite off bedrooms). The cottage has been carefully and tastefully renovated and is in beautiful condition inside. It had everything needed with a fully equipped kitchen and all cutlery etc. The new boiler worked well and kept the cottage warm, with a wood burning stove to add any heat and fireside character necessary. The owners were helpful and patient on the end of the phone when we had problems with the boiler (problems which were entirely of our making). Thoroughly recommend this cottage. The local area is full of character and has lots to see and do (lighthouse, beaches, seal colony on beach), but you have to search carefully for good restaurants close by.

Stayed at this property for a week in July, had a very pleasant time. The cottage has wifi, Sky etc...and all modern amenities. The village is very quiet and has a pub and an historic church. The local beach though was a hidden gem we thought, lovely golden sand overlooked by the lighthouse, large car park with clean toilets and a quaint little burger shack just round the corner for drinks etc..the beach also had the added bonus of allowing dogs, though the usual culprits who don’t clean up after theirs will probably put an end to this. Just along the coast is another exceptional stretch of beach in Mundesley, this has the added bonus of free parking as well. In fact there are lovely beaches all up the coast. No complaints at all.

Beautifully presented thatched cottage. Very clean and well equipped (except for large cooking pots). Two ensuite bathrooms are equipped with showers, one also with bath. 7 of us stayed here very comfortably. 10 -15 minute walk to beach and lighthouse, 5 minute walk to village pub which serves decent food.

This is such a beautiful and peaceful location and the cottage itself is very cosy, comfortable and extremely well-decorated. It’s well-equipped and a great place to come back to for a relaxing evening after a long, busy day out. The hosts were very helpful on the odd occasion where we had a query and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is a delightful cottage with all the facilities you could possibly need. The attention to detail is impeccable and it is a very clean and homely place to stay. The area is quiet and rural and the village itself is interesting and friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage to all. The hosts were very easily contactable, should it be necessary.

The cottage is lovely, nicely decorated and very clean. The instructions were very comprehensive and easy to follow. The cottage is very well situated for visiting the broads and Norfolk coast and is in a small village with only a short stroll to the coast (less than a mile). We had lovely weather so spent the vast majority of the time outside exploring the local area. The only minor issue was that there are only 2 en-suite bathrooms only accessible for 2 of the 4 bedrooms through other bedrooms, this was fine for us as we are all family but could be trickier for some.

Church Farm Cottage is beautifully furnished and ideally located cottage. We had a wonderful couple of days in and around Happisburgh and it was a perfect base to explore the nearby beaches of Happisburgh, Winterton on Sea and the stunning Seal Colony at Horsey. Cheryl was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for a great weekend in Norfolk. Would not hesitate in booking again.
— Emma - Airbnb April 2016
The cottage was really lovely, everything there that we needed and perfect for the kids. Location was great with the football pitch, beach, play park and light house up the road. Very friendly local pub too. We had a great time. Very responsive host too. I’d highly recommend this cottage.

Fabulous little cottage in a lovely Norfolk village. Very clean, all mod cons and the most wicked TV system (so jealous). It was the perfect base for our Easter weekend. We would thoroughly recommend Cheryl’s home which suited us and our two children perfectly.
— Jo Airbnb - March 2016
Just a beautiful cottage. Cosy, comfortable and really well located close to the beach and beautiful clifftop walks. The local pub is very friendly and the food is good! Cheryl was very responsive to emails, helpful and clearly wanted our stay to be as enjoyable as possible, including going out of her way to accommodate a later check out time for us.
— Catherine Airbnb - March 2016
Cheryl’s home is delightful. It was cosy and comfortable place to spend a weekend with friends and I’d certainly recommend it to others.
— Anna Airbnb - Feb 2016
We had a fabulous time in this beautiful spacious cottage. It was exactly as described, very close to points of interest like the seal colony that appears around winter and had everything we needed. It was also only a short distant from the lighthouse and beach. I’d definitely recommend booking this - would love to come back one day!
— Liz Airbnb - Jan 2016
The cottage was the perfect idyll for what we wanted (a quiet weekend for mum and dad away from the kids for a few days). The cottage is wonderfully clean and tidy and just as described. A leisurely stroll to the beach and the pub (decent food and beer) and a day’s shopping in Norwich were all squeezed in. Wine in front of the log fire to end the day. 10/10 Jim & Louise Irvine

Absolutely beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated, leaving us wanting for nothing. Situated in a lovely quiet village with a great local pub within walking distance. Highly recommend a stay in this historic period property, with an accommodating host.
— Andy Airbnb - Dec 2015
We stayed at Church Farm Cottage for three nights recently and loved it! Cheryl sent us a very useful information pack before we arrived which was really helpful, and we were delighted to find the cottage absolutely spotless.

The kitchen was very well equipped, and the underfloor heating and log fire were both heavenly in the cold weather!

The master bedroom is stunning with a very comfortable large bed and wonderful en suite bath where you can stare at the stars!

The living room had wonderful cosy couches and a giant TV with sky (including all the movies), great for curling up on a cold evening.

An absolute highlight were the great collection of games, all brand new and hilarious!

We had a wonderful stay here and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy country retreat.
— Rosie -Aibnb Nov 2015
This beautiful cottage is just as described. Each room is well finished with loads of character. The kitchen is well stocked (there was even a fresh pint of milk in the fridge). Also the WiFi speed is really good.

I had a really nice quiet retreat for two days. I walked along the coast in very wet and windy conditions and then settled in front of the fire in the evenings

Cheryl was really easy to work with and the house manual was really detailed and useful. I would recommend staying here as it’s just add described. I’ll be back again.

We had a great time in Norfolk! The house was perfect for two families with plenty to keep the children entertained.

The Kitchen is well equipped and the wood burning stove made each evening nice and cosy.

We really enjoyed the local beaches - just a short stroll away - with the occasional seal popping by to say hello!

Highlights of the trip were Horsey Gap to see the seal colony and Cromer for some crabbing; a great week was had by all. Saw the seals at Horsey Gap

We thought your cottage was wonderful and beautifully decorated. Would love to be able to take it home to Australia with us. We have no criticisms at all. We really loved the village of Happisburgh.

Kind regards

We were looking for somewhere to relax for the weekend and the cottage was perfect.

It was close enough to the beach for walks whilst peaceful and cosy for chilling out.

The cottage is beautiful and was spotless for our arrival. We will definitely be going back!

Cheryl was very good at keeping in touch and aimed to rectify any issues we raised very quickly. She sent a very thorough handbook for the house a few days before our stay which was very helpful.

The house was beautiful and well equipped.
